Fins and lateral and dorsal plates of head and body with numerous dark dots. First anal-fin pterygiophore greatly expanded and exposed. Eyes large, dorsoventrally placed. Lips well-developed, occupying most of ventral surface; lower lip mostly covered with papillae, except for a smooth band near border of lips. Caudal fin I, 14, I; slightly concave, upper lobe shorter than lower lobe (Ref. 49598).
