Espinhos dorsais (total) : 20; Raios dorsais moles (total) : 13; Espinhos anais: 2; Raios anais moles: 12. Body and head metallic silver; darker dorsally. Pupil silvery with an elongated, dusky blotch above and below the iris. A dark blotch, equal in size to orbit length on the operculum.
